Kids Today

Last night before watching October Sky, I was flipping through the channels and caught a glimpse of a young Jonathan Brandis (RIP) on ABC Family, and could not place the movie in the few seconds I saw. That is until today when I started watching my dvd of It. Is it just me or is that really weird for It to be on ABC Family, I'm sure it was edited but still. A Stephen King movie on a family channel? But I guess considering the first time I watched it, it was on TV (it was a mini-series) around when it first came out (I was about 7), alone with my sister, who is younger at our grandparents house.
Avis, my sister, has been horrified of clowns ever since, of course. I wouldn't say I'm that bad, but I know where to draw the line in my clown exposure. The haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights that had the clown, no definitely no. And I couldn't have my picture taken with him either, but I did get close enough to take Amy's picture with him. Anyway, I wouldn't let my kid watch It until they were a little older at least, they should be able to enjoy clowns. I did still enjoy Bozo though...

Edit: Actually come to think of it Killer Klowns From Outer Space is a major, perhaps bigger, part of the equation for me.
