I have to say thank you for voting for the candidate that best reflects integrity in my view. I think that this is an important issue and I hope that is the reason why you chose him. If not, then that is cool too. He is the best candidate, I believe, and should be the eventual candidate against whomever the Democrats pick. It's kinda interesting to read how you came to pick him as your candidate of choice when you had Giuliani show up to your town and you had the choice of Ron Paul and Huckabee too.
Well, I agree with most of McCains views, or rather, I disagree with him the least of the candidates. I also think he will hold up the best against the democrats when it comes time for the election. Giuliani was never really an option for me, I disagree with him on pretty much all of the social issues. I just went to see him because he was here and I had never seen a candidate speak in person before; it was something fun to experience. Ron Paul I really liked in the beginning, but I came to see his ideas as just too radical. I like his ideas, but I just don't see them playing out today or in the next 10 years. The idea of giving so much control to the states kind of scares me as well; he can say he holds this view on an issue, but it doesn't really matter because the decision is in the hands of the states if he were elected. As for Huckabee, I am completely against the FairTax and that was a major part of my deciding not to vote for him, I also don't see him beating the democrats. Now if McCain took on Huckabee as his running-mate that would be awesome.
