Today I received a message from a fellow flickr user requesting to use one of my photos (this photo) for an article he wrote for NowPublic.com. The article is about a new pizza place in Winnipeg that serves porn. That's right, pizza and porn. If I read correctly the place is even called Porno Pizza, and has pornographic images under the pizzas. Read it for yourself.
I declined the request, I just don't want my photos associated with something like that.
If you would have said yes...your picture could have been plastered ALL over the internet.
ReplyDeleteI have 300+ rss feeds and at least 40 of them today were talking about the pizza thing.
The article/articles were very tame and offered no real nudity.
Which reminds me...
One time at youth group this girl gave a testimony about how she didn't let "Bad Religion" come film a music video at their house....and everyone cheered.
Except for me and my friend Brendon.
Why?
Well, because it's BAD RELIGION!
Oh well.
Sorry for the tangent.
I liked the pizza photo...i like pizza.
I like rambling in comments.
I read the article, I know it didn't have anything bad in it itself, it's just the idea.
ReplyDelete"The world famous photographer's first published photo was for an article on pizza and porn"
No thanks, I don't need to be world famous if it has come that way.
Just like having an opportunity to be a model if I took an offer to pose nude for an art class. No thanks.
If immoral means are the only means, then it's just not meant to be, it's not in God's plan for me. While it is in His plan to stand up for my beliefs and say no, and you can relate to that right?
gotcha.
ReplyDeleteit just reminded me about how mad I was at that girl in my youth group.
I heard one of the guys in an interview talk about that situation, and had it been my house, I would have had open arms, because love conquers all..and well i believe jesus would have let the guys play in his house...if he had one...
the porn pizza story was lame anyways, and the shot wouldn't have fit....but man did it make me hungry...now i'm rambling...
i understand your reasonings, I was just trying to be a nice blogger and leave a comment, it just got out of hand...
I understand. And I definitely see what you mean about the music video, I would have felt the same way. Mostly because I don't think listening to Bad Religion is a sin, while looking at porn is. Now if they wanted to film an orgy and she said no and everyone cheered that I'd go along with (the cheering, not the orgy, haha).
ReplyDeleteI had that pizza again today, man I love it. Have you had one? It's California Pizza Kitchen Margherita. Did you know margherita is Italian for "daisy"...now I'm the one rambling.
