Maker's Diet (not the drink)

As a lot of you know, I have Crohn's disease. Well, I was on a medication that worked really well for me, but I had to stop taking it in January so it wouldn't be in Will's system when he was born. I haven't resumed taking it because it is unknown how it may affect him through breastmilk.

That would be okay, except that I've started having some pretty bad symptoms. I do not want to give up nursing and I don't want to take a chance on Will's health by taking the medication (or any other for that matter). I mean look at the great views I get while nursing.

So I've decided to try so I decided to try The Maker's Diet. Some of you have probably heard of this before, maybe you've even read the book. In short, the diet follows the guidelines set out in the Bible, you could compare it to a Jewish person's diet: no pork (and you know how I love pork), no shellfish, and a dozen other limitations that will make eating out pretty impossible.

My main difficulty with this will be that I love food! I love meat from pigs! Bacon! I also love sweets, no ice cream!
I'm willing to sacrifice these things so I can continue to give my baby the best food possible.
The Maker's Diet
is a 40 day plan and I'm only on day 2 and it's been rough, more on that when I do a weekly recap.

(Please note this post was written last Wednesday, the 1st.)
