Dark Knight Coverage

Even if you haven't yet had the chance to see The Dark Knight in theaters, you can check out the coverage of it on PCitylive.com. I haven't seen it yet myself, but I have read the novel, my review can be found here. And here is a direct link to the film review.

If you have seen it or read it, where's your review?

Oh, and did you hear about Christian Bale being arrested for assault?

  1. I saw the movie at 12:01 AM Friday. I have to say, it was an amazing movie. I find it amazing mainly because of the performance of the actors in the film and the directing of the film. Both of these elements come together to create a sense of suspense and fear that is unrivaled in many movies. The only movie that comes to mind recently that was close was The Departed. It is also good because it shows a completely different side of what Batman is. I don't really like Batman too much, or superheros in general, but I do enjoy what someone can remake of it and put a different side of what the persona / character can be. Overall, I say it is a good movie to see and recommended and must be seen in a theater to get the full effect of the film itself.

  2. I totaly agree about having to go see it in a theater, not only because I work at one but most people are going to see it at least twice. Granted we can see it for free but still its someting like 2 1/2 hours pretty impressive. Hats off to Heath Ledger fantastic Joker.

  3. The movie was great. I am a long time Batman fan (currently enjoying the Chronicle paperback collections from 1938 - 1942).

This is the best written Joker in a movie. I think Heath Ledger did a great job but I think the power of the character really falls in the writing. While fairly common in the comics, seeing Batman and Joker having conversations about madness in a movie was pretty awesome.

Harvey Dent was compelling and Maggie G. was a better Rachel Dawes than Katie Holmes.

The movie had three distinct acts which made the 2.5 hr running time fly by. Everyone should see it!
